Interaction studies with 1 Dependent Variable (DV) usually have the DV measured on an Interval/Ratio scale and often have 2 or more Independent Variables (IV) measured on a Nominal scale.  When the DVs contain 2 or 3+ Groups with Different Similarity the appropriate Statistic is Two-way ANOVA or Factorial ANOVA/ANCOVA.
